New Holland represents a new series of self-propelled forage harvester FR 9000. They are the largest field forage shredders, with the widest transport rollers and shredding drum in the world industry. Five models combine power, original design solutions, efficiency, performance and comfort. Development of a new series was launched in 1998, in the period from 2002 to 2006 year. Also at this period were made serious field trials in the world. Starting from 2007 Combines FR are being serially produced on the combine building plant New Holland in Belgium.

Full power of the longitudinally mounted engine is transmitted with minimal losses to the shredding drum through one gearbox and robust main belt drive.

Lift up adapter, feed system, accelerator, grain conditioner have independent hydraulic actuators, which achieves simplicity and reliability of the drive system. Travel speed is selected automatically depending on the load.

The biggest shredding drum on the market (15% more than competitors) with chevron configuration of knives provides high performance without affecting quality of cut.

High inertia drum (up to 670 kg) ensures smooth rotation, high cutting efficiency and reduce load on the drive.

Cutting length can be adjusted on the move depending on the operating conditions and crop. Unlike our competitors, on silage when the flatting device is excluded from work, formed a large space between the drum and the accelerator is reduced by 60% by moving the accelerator close to the chopping drum. In this way we save large walk-through speed and prevent hanging of mass.

Much attention is paid to comfort, information content and operators comfort of combine control: excellent overview of 360 °, new multi-functional handle, automatic climate control, monitor IntelliView II with embedded video, automatic control of steering and unloading, various additional automatic functions providing minimal downtime and minimal tiredness for combine operator.
